Coalition SEGA became a cooperating organization of ERYICA

According to the submitted request for membership in the European Youth Information and Counseling Agency (ERYICA), the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA is accepted as a cooperating organization of ERYICA.

The membership in ERYICA like cooperation organization aims to fulfilling the Strategic Plan 2010 – 2013 of SEGA, and is a result of two years partnership cooperation with ERYICA. The application for cooperating organization was submitted during the 20th General Assembly of ERYICA, held in December 2009, on which the Executive Director of Coalition SEGA took participation.

The European Youth Information and Counseling Agency (ERYICA) is an international non-profit association based in Luxembourg. It was established on the 17 April 1986 in Madrid.

At present, the ERYICA network consists of 26 Members, 4 Affiliated- and 3 Co-operating Organizations working in 26 countries, in more than 8.000 youth information centers, where 13.000 workers provide young people with generalist information under the principles of the European Youth Information Charter.
Aiming to strengthen the cooperation between ERYICA and Coalition SEGA in April 2010the Executive Director of ERYICA will visit Coalition SEGA.

Organized training on youth participation for local MPs

In the period of 29^th – 31^st of February in hotel Oaza Stip training on youth participation was organized. This training is being organized within the project “Promoting youth activism in underdeveloped regions”, financed by National Endowment for Democracy. On the training representatives of Local-Self Governments and local MPs involved in the project took participation. This training aimed to introduce the participants in youth participation, actual state and legal frame for youth participation in Republic of Macedonia and EU.

The participants acquired theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for youth participation. Also, the participants were introduced into the basic documents and models of youth participation, forms and levels of youth participation.

Project “Youth strategy in culture on local level”

Coalition of youth organizations SEGA on the 01^st of December 2009 started to implement the project “Youth strategy in culture on local level”, financed by the Ministry of culture of Republic of Macedonia. The aim of this project is to prepare and adopt Local Youth Strategy in culture of the municipality of Prilep. On 11^th of January 2010 in Prilep a focus group with youth was organized. This focus group was organized with an aim to gather information necessary for defining young people’s priorities and problems in the area of culture in municipality of Prilep.

On 23^rd of January 2010 a meeting with the working group that will prepare the local youth strategy in culture for municipality of Prilep was organized. During February 2010 another two meetings with the working group will be organized in order to prepare Draft strategy.

Promoted YiA Programme in Krusevo

On the 26^th of January 2010 in the Home of Culture in Krusevo a promotion for the Youth in Action programme was organized. In the promotion young people and NGO representatives from Krusevo participated. This event aimed to inform the public, especially young people for the benefits and opportunities of this programme and how they can became part of it.

All programmes that are available for the NGOs were presented, and young people were introduced to the concept of European Voluntary Service as well as the opportunities and terms within.
